Fall Quarter Sessions:

Sept 14 & 28 -- 6:00-7:30 PM

This class will meet for two sessions, one and a half hours each. Please be sure you can attend all sessions before registering.

Get into the fall season with the Wheat Stitch Pumpkin! This charming crochet pumpkin pattern offers a delightfully textured stitch. The student has a choice of making a pumpkin in one of 3 sizes. This pumpkin brings the joys of  both autumn and of crafting into one lovely project. These pretty pumpkins are crocheted flat, then seamed and stuffed, with added decorations you will have a quick and wonderful addition to your Fall decor. 

Skills you will learn:

• Reading a pattern

• Learn to Crochet flat in the back loop, 

• Learn a modified puff stitch to create the wheat

• Seaming the pumpkin,  

• Cinching the pumpkin top and bottom

• Stuffing the pumpkin

• Discuss adding decor

• Finishing off and weaving in the ends

Skills you already need to have: Students should be comfortable with chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch and double crochet stitch

Materials to bring to class:

• Pattern - Wheat Stitch Pumpkin Spice Trio by Brianna K Designs available on Ravelry

• 1 skein of Worsted Weight yarn (210yard minimum) in a single color.

• Hook

• US H  (5.00mm) or hook needed to meet gauge

• Fiberfil, or preferred stuffing, cinnamon stick or small branch

• Ribbon, silk leaves, or other items for finishing

• Locking stitch marker, tapestry needle, scissors
