Fall Quarter Sessions:

Oct 5, 19 & 26 -- 6:00-8:00 PM

This class will meet for three sessions, two hours each. Please be sure you can attend all sessions before registering.

Do you want to enhance your crochet skills and/or learn the mosaic crochet color techniques?  Interested in sock construction but not sure how to crochet them? This Christmas stocking is perfect to bring a personal touch to your holiday traditions, maybe you want to carry on a family tradition, or you want to start new traditions.  This workshop is for you! 

Skills you will learn:

• How to work with multiple colors at the same time

• How to mosaic crochet

• To read charts

• Sock techniques, such as crocheting a sock that includes a cuff, heel, and toe

• Finishing techniques to bind off and finish your stocking for hanging

• Anatomy of a sock
  

Skills you already need to have: Participants need to have a solid foundation of basic crochet stitches, such as single crochet, chains, etc. 

Materials to bring to class:

• Pattern: Nordic Star Mosaic Stocking by Jamie St George on Ravelry 

• This designer has several other mosaic crochet stockings if you would like to choose a different pattern to crochet. 
  

• Hook: US C: 3.00mm
  

• Yarn:1 skein of DK weight(a minimum of 250 yds) in 2 different colors. This pattern looks best in high contrast colors. 
  

• Notions: Scissors, Tapestry Needle, and Locking Stitch Markers
