This is a virtual class taught online on Zoom. Pam will send out log-in information prior to the first class.

You’re familiar with the basics of the knitCompanion app, and you’re ready to dive in a little deeper. 

You will learn how to set up charts and other advanced techniques to customize your patterns to make them work better for you. After this Beyond The Basics online class, you won’t want to knit without knitCompanion!

NOTE: You will need Set Up + Essentials to fully participate in the class.

Skills you will learn:

• Overview of the knitCompanion app

• Learn beyond basics functions of the app including:

            > advanced set up of chart instructions including: 

     > color coding of selected stitches

     > use magic markers to count long stretches of stitches in charts

     > hands free knitting with voice control

     > join chart pieces together

            > create multiple keys (and color code keys)

            > customize simple counters

            > customize sliding markers

> add video links to pattern

> “scribble” feature

Skills you already need to have: Familiar with the basics of knitCompanion and ready to learn more!

Materials for class:

• Devices with internet connection (ipad, tablet, phone, laptop, desktop, etc)

• Most current version knitCompanion app already loaded on chosen device

• Preferable to join Zoom class from a device OTHER THAN the one on which knitCompanion is loaded so that you are able to view class instruction on one and have ability to work within the knitCompanion app on the other. .

• Access to Ravelry set up prior to class in order to take part in loading a pattern from Ravelry into knitCompanion
